D.C. Bicycle Advisory Council

The January BAC general meeting will be Jan. 11, 6 to 8 pm. The meeting's focus will be on BAC's future. Because of DC Councilmember election changes and BAC member term limits, we currently are down to a handful of members. To continue, we need to identify and encourage bike and transportation advocates to join the BAC and become new BAC members. We also need to identify new leaders. These issues will be the primary focus of the meeting's discussion. Particularly those who are BAC members please come prepared to discuss. The following letter addressing the senseless and preventable deaths of three local cyclists within the past two months and the importance of passing the Safer Intersections Amendment Act of 2022 which would help prevent deaths of cyclists in DC. This letter was approved by the Bicycle Advisory Council and was sent out to all DC council members and mayor.
