The Recreational Trails Advisory Committee is looking for new members!

The Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is looking to fill a vacancy in it committee that provides guidance and advice to develop and maintain the District's trail network.  The Committee represents trail user groups – hiking, biking, skating, equestrian, and must include a motorized user (ATV, snowmobile, etc.). The annual budget is  approximately $700,000.

Specifically, the Committee reviews applications for funding from non-profits and the District Department of Transportation for trail projects.  The committee meets every two month to review projects, discuss District trail goals, and tour local facilities.

If you are interested in joining the committee, please send an email to Heather Deutsch at heather.deutsch@dc.gov.

Your email should contain a few sentences expressing your interest in trails, describing your trail experience, and specifying the user group you represent.
For more information about the RTP program, please go to the DDOT website.
